Glorious beaches at Blackpool Sands, Slapton Sands and East Portlemouth (pictured) lie within easy reach as does Slapton Ley's freshwater lake, a paradise for bird watchers and nature ramblers. And close by, the delightful, bustling towns of Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Dartmouth, Brixham and Totnes all offer quaint streets, interesting shopping, excellent inns and restaurants, and a variety of boat trips and water activities. Train enthusiasts are sure to enjoy journeys on the South Devon Railway, and Dartington Hall is also among the nearby attractions whilst, a little further afield, the rugged grandeur and picturesque villages of Dartmoor National Park invite exploration. Golf, horse riding and coarse and sea fishing are all available locally.

Would definitely recommend West Prideaux, the house is beautiful, huge & very well equipped. We had 2 families sharing it (4 adults & 5 kids) & had ample room. The kids loved the garden & the little woods next to the house! Location was great for Dartmouth & all the beaches (just a shame most were pebble beaches!).

The south Devon area and near by attractions for families were great. We easily filled a week of enjoyable days out. The local beaches had great facilities and good parking.

North Devon
From the vast unspoilt expanses of Exmoor to its endless sandy beaches and charming
